This piece was created for a special art challenge show in Eugene at MECCA (Materials Exchange Center for Community Arts) in Eugene, Oregon, called Object Afterlife. Artists signed up to receive one mystery object for the reuse store, to create artwork with, and to display in the final show. I was given the shadow box. The paper scraps and owl picture all came from MECCA. The name Constraint and Intensity refers to the short window of time to create the piece, and also to the owl in the piece who is locked in.
